The Yum Yum Story

yumyum-storyUnfortunately for many of us, food is our weakness and the kitchen is the danger zone. Buying expensive new equipment and a new workout wardrobe is motivation for only so long. Consequently, exercise plans come with an equally important consideration: nutrition .

Tracy Adler however, has found the solution. After two children and excessive overeating, Tracy quickly realized that snacking was becoming an unconscious activity. She’d drag a bag of potato chips off the shelf and head for the couch… and before she knew it, half the bag was gone. The simple fact was she didn’t realize how much she was eating. So she decided to do something about it.

Tracy started using a small dish for snacking. As long as she didn’t re-fill the bowl, she could never over-snack! That’s when the Yum Yum Dish was born, a 4-ounce ceramic bowl that’s fun and easy to understand.

Yum Yum Dishes are a system of portion control that take the guesswork out of how much you’re eating. They’re the cure for unconscious overeating. Rather than polishing off an entire bag of chips in one sitting, Yum Yum Bowls allow for proportioned snacks that encourage balanced and healthy eating habits. The bowls were redesigned in 2011 to include snap-on lids for snacking on the go! This allows the health conscious eaters to take their favorite naughty food or snack with them wherever they go!

Tracy-and-kidsIn addition to these fun little guys, in 2011 Yum Yum Dishes introduced the 9Plate. In America today the typical plate size is 11 to 13 inches. Our 9Plate is the perfect size plate for anyone who wants to eat the correct portions. The 9Plate is correctly sectioned and labeled for Protein, Carbs and Veggies.
